I just installed Windows 7 x64 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 yesterday. All the drivers were installed during setup, except for one, which I can't seem to figure out what it is. I've run Windows Update through the Device Manager, and it cannot find drivers for the unknown device.
In the Device Manager, it's listed under Other Devices Base System Device. The location of the device is PCI bus 2, device 9, function 3.
I've read that this could be the built-in memory card reader, but the card reader is working fine (I used it earlier with an SD card). Anyone have any ideas what this device could be?Thanks.
Hi, I have the same problem - I want to dump a load of files onto an SD card, but my Windows 7 64-bit system just doesn't see the SD card when it is inserted in the built in reader. I have tried different SD cards and have even tried SD cards in a separateUSB SD card reader.
The system sees the USB device, but not the SD cards when they are inserted. The cards are working fine in other devices and computers. Can't see how live photo gallery would make a difference (but gave it a go anyway.I was right - it still can't see the SD card!
